We have activated our voices and changing the tone to act now. No Struggle No Success, Inc. (NSNS) designed a robust program that demonstrates there's “no excuse” to return to prison. In June of 2020, the nonprofit organization name was adopted from a juvenile (at the age of 15) who was charged as an adult in Frederick County, Maryland. A tragic experience, lead to ways to become apart of a fresh change the tone for youth and adults who are transitioning from juvenile facilities and prisons in Maryland. With the help of this youth created an passionate path of freedom, family and finance. With motivation, NSNS advocates ways to reduce recidivism, holding state/city officials accountable and building impactful relationships to give access to community resources. This sensible approach moves in ways to improve the success of decreasing mass incarceration, law modifications and removing the stumbling blocks in the reentry and youthful offenders population.
The Mission: To remove all obstacles and excuses from returning back to prison. Delivering readily available resources to change the justifications that leads to using illegal “street” alternatives.
The Vision: Bridging the gaps of Freedom, Family and Finance. The growth of an individual, brings safety of self and others with family unity and generational wealth.
NSNS selection of program staff are relatable, credible, experience and knowledge to assist such an unique audience.
NSNS entire team truly really care about the people they are working with and the participants we serve. Each team member has a genuine interest in the business and the day-to-day details. The team workflow aims to reduce violence, increase safety and restoration of the black and brown communities. This is a matter of Public Health and Safety. #reduce recidivism
The Need: To reduce the high rates of recidivism, minimize crimes and relieving the criminal justice system.
The Solution: To remove all the excuses from returning to prison. The proof is here, participants have access to people who live their life and/or the family that member who was stripped away from their love ones.
The Hero: We have many heroes who have came home to give back.
We have one of our very on heroes. NSNS Program Director, Stanley Mitchell is rebuilding his legacy by helping others who served time on the "plantation". He served 38 years in prison and was released after the state declared a "miscarriage of justice" in June 2013. Stanley Mitchell has maintained his innocence and dedicated his life to build a legacy that demonstrate the need of rehabilitation. He has walked the straight and narrow path since his release, committing his time assisting the recently incarcerated individuals to a successfully transition into the community and love ones.
